The Ireland West Young Horse Championship was established by the Shows in Mayo and Enniscrone Show.

The championship is open to everyone

To Qualify, you must participate in a young horse class at any 3 of the following shows;
Westport .................31st May
Enniscrone...............5th July
Ballina .....................12th July
Louisburgh............... 19th July
Crossmolina.............25th July
Erris .........................26th July
Claremorris .............2nd Aug
Bonniconlon ............3rd Aug
Swinford ..................23rd Aug

The top two horses from each class will go through to the championship.

On the day of the final, there will be 3 classes as following:

• Yearling class €700 prize fund
• 2yr old class €700 prize fund
• 3yr old class €700 prize fund
