RULES AND CONDITIONS
- The Competition is open to girls and boys, age on the 1st September will determine the class each exhibitor enters.
- Two exhibitors qualifies from each qualifying show for the Final.
- Lambs can be of any Sheep breed, male, or female (pedigree or non-pedigree)
- An exhibitor can show an animal belonging to another flock owner.
- Senior exhibitors will exhibit a 2026 born lamb (male or Female)
- Exhibitors may be asked for proof of their age at the final.
- The Qualifying Exhibitor must fill out their own Qualifying Card at each Qualifying Show. Completed card and entry fee must be handed into the secretary’s office on show day.
THE COMPETITION WILL BE JUDGED ON CRITERIA, WHICH WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- The ability to handle and present the lamb to its best advantage in the Show Ring.
- General knowledge of the sheep industry, including their feeding, breeding, etc.
- Stock Judging, the ability to judge and place a group of lambs or Hogget’s.
- Personal presentation of stock person. (white coats, white blouse/shirt and ties)
- Presentation of the lamb (bring your showing equipment)
PRIZE FUND: 1st €700, 2nd €400, 3rd €250, 4th €200, 5th €150, 6th to end €100
Entry Fee: To Qualifying Show: €10 To Final: €15
FINAL: OSSORY SHOW Sunday 26th July 2026

Note: It is vital as per the Department regulations that sheep transfers are completed on AIM, you are required to have the appropiate dispatch documentation prepared for sign off on show day. Enniscrone Show will forward the details to the Dept. Enniscrone Show number with the Dept is S953
Online registration open from 1st Jun to 1st Jul
Judging commences at 10:30am
Vouchers to the value may be given in some classes.
Classes may be cancelled or combined depending on entries.
All sheep in this section must be correct and suitable for breeding where applicable.
All aged ewes to have reared a lamb in 2025
All crossbred sheep must be 1st cross only
